Did you know that most dogs show signs of dental disease by age 3? Brushing your dog’s teeth is important but it’s usually low on our list of things to do. Bad breath is often a sign of dental disease that may need to be treated by your vet. Teeth brushing is the best way to protect your dog from serious decay or gum (periodontal) disease. Be sure to make teeth brushing an enjoyable experience by giving treats and lots of praise. And work them up to a full cleaning slowly.
